Hooray! September is here! Tour season is kicking off and the Pagan Dream Cruise is days away. A summer heatwave is blazing away at the moment but autumn is just around the corner. I am really looking forward to this autumn and my upcoming author events. I have been prepping for all of the classes I will be teaching on the Cruise, as well as while I am on tour and here at home in St. Louis.

Elemental Witchery- Sunday September 22nd (at Mystic Valley)
Earth, air, fire and water… not just for the 101 student. Dare to take a deeper more advanced look into the four natural elements that we draw upon in our magick. What element do you favor? Which do you have trouble with? By taking a deeper look at these questions you begin to see what your magickal strengths and weakness are. We are all a mixture of the four natural elements. Learn how to restore and balance your personal power, making your magick more effective and powerful

Psychic Ability and Witchery. Class Date- Sunday, September 29 (at Mystic Valley)
In this second class we learn how the various types of psychic abilities, (and YES everyone has them) affect and enhance your Craft. We will learn about three types of psychic abilities and will work together with energy exercises in class. You will discover if you are a visionary, an intuitive or an empath. There will also be a demonstration of building energy and passing it to another, and chance for all of the students to try out their intuitive skills for themselves.

Looking Deeper- Becoming an Adept. Class date, Sunday, October 6th (at Mystic Valley )
How does one become an adept? This third class in the series addresses this issue. With an honest look at the topic and some straight-up information that any Witch struggling to go beyond the “Beginner” phase of their training needs to know. In this class the students will get up and put what they have learned into practice. This class focuses on individuality, and how our own personal magickal style makes each of us more powerful and spiritual.

Tending to Your Spirituality. Class Date- Sunday, October 13th ( at Mystic Valley)
Spirituality, what does it truly mean to us as Witches? In this final class of the series we talk about “Living the magickal life.” How does one live and conduct themselves as a person of power? This class explores finding the sacred in what others perceive as ordinary. The mystery tradition of the Craft, and just why this “Mystery” is so darned mystifying anyway…. This is a deeper look at the fifth element of magick, that of Spirit.

Just 3 weeks to go until the Hubs and I leave for Florida and then start the Pagan Dream Cruise followed by an author event in Florida. I am pretty excited. I will be working my tail off while on the cruise no doubt about it. I will be doing tarot readings each day and teaching four different  2 hour classes-- but I plan to carve some "me" time out each time we go to a port, so the Hubs and I can hit the beach.

I laid out for a few hours this week (haven't done that in years) in my new swimsuit to try and get a little color.. I typically have a white feet, pale upper legs and back from gardening and walking outside. (The classic farmers tan.) So I am trying to even that up so it won't look goofy while at the beach- that and I don't want to broil like a lobster either.

After the cruise is finished I will be headed to do an author event in the Orlando, Florida area. I am really excited about this event. This is my fellow Llewellyn author Ann Moura's shop. I am really looking forward to meeting her and seeing some of my Witch buddies from Florida at the author event! Here are all the details.

Life is slowly returning to whatever passes for normal here at home. Tour season is done and OMG Thanksgiving is less than a week away. I will be putting in many hours in the kitchen this week as I typically get asked to bring pies. Currently I am up to having to make four pies...

Also my adult kids and nieces and nephews will rise up in revolt if I don not bring gingerbread cookies to my sister's house. Typically we go to my sister's house for the first meal and then to my mother-in-laws for supper later in the day. You have to pace yourself and eat light, when you celebrate with both sides of the family (Mine and the Hubs) and have two holiday meals...

I think I will definitely make pumpkin pie with fat-free condensed milk and egg beaters. You can't taste the difference but ever calorie saved helps! As to the gingerbread cookies.....the recipe that I use for gingerbread people cookies is found in my book Seasons of Witchery, in the Yule chapter. Check it out. I promise the cookies are awesome.

In other news, I have just announced that I will be the guest speaker on the 2nd Annual Pagan Dream Cruise! I worked with the event coordinator and our hosts at BBCMS and together we came up with a more affordable option this time around.  For starters the cruise departs from Jacksonville, Florida and Southwest airlines flies there.

Which means if you are like me and tend to book your flight months in advance you could really SAVE on the flight! (That's exactly what my husband and I will be doing.) Yesterday we were both looking at the Atlantis website and grinning like lunatics at all of the absolutely cool stuff there is to do... We went out to dinner and the movies last night and all we could talk about was seeing the Bahamas and Atlantis.
